The 56th Super Bowl will take place next month and will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Super Bowl LVI (56) is fast approaching as the NFL season draws to a close and teams race to the annual showpiece game.
Once the play-offs are over, both teams will head to California’s SoFi Stadium as fans on both sides of the Atlantic prepare to hold their annual viewing parties.
For NFL fans in the UK, that means a late night stopover to catch the game live.
Here’s everything you need to know about when and where the event is taking place and how to watch it in the UK.
When is Super Bowl LVI?
The 56th edition of the Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
In recent years the game has been played on the first Sunday in February, but an additional regular season game in the 2021 schedule saw it pushed back to 2022.
Where does Super Bowl LVI take place?
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California will host the 56th Super Bowl.
This will be the first time the city of Inglewood has hosted the Super Bowl and the eighth time in the Greater Los Angeles area, the last being Super Bowl XXVII in 1993 held at the Rose Bowl.
The NFL also said that if Covid-19 restrictions increase in Los Angeles on the date of the event, play may be moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
What time is Super Bowl LVI in the UK?
Super Bowl 56 is scheduled to start at 11:30 p.m. in the UK, which will be 3 p.m. in California.
The match itself will last 60 minutes (four 15-minute quarters), but the event itself will take significantly longer when taking into account halftime and multiple commercial breaks. The event is expected to run until around 3am in the UK.
This year’s halftime show is set to star Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
How to watch Super Bowl LVI in the UK

Who will win Super Bowl LVI?
The Green Bay Packers were the current favorites to win the 56th Super Bowl.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the defending champions and were shockingly eliminated just before the final playoffs with only the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals to play.
No one thought the Bengals would have come this far and are hoping to lift the trophy for the first time in franchise history.
